Simplify your studio photography.
With the advancement in camera technology specifically live exposure mode and the abundance of COB LED studio lights combining these makes for easier studio photography, while this blog is aimed at the beginner/intermediate photographer I personally have been using continuous lighting over strobes of late and finding the whole process more relaxed, efficient and enjoyable.
#1 - Using continuous light gives you instant results before even hitting the trigger.
That's the beauty of continuous lighting, you see the result before even taking the picture which makes for a great experience when photographing.

#2 - Live exposure mode = EASIER UNDERSTANDING.
CAMERAS TODAY ARE SO GOOD AT SHOWING THE LIVE EXPOSURE ON SCREEN MAKING THE PROCESS OS USING CONTINUOS LIGHTING EVEN EASIER AS YOU SEE THE INSTANT RESULTS BEFORE HITTING THE TRIGGER.
"Its never been easier to produce quality photos using LED Lighting"
#3 - Combine it with tethering
Tethering to a laptop or iPad just enhances the experience and allows you to see it on a bigger screen. I am using Cascable for the iPad which is fantastic.
Tip #5 - Finish the images with little editing to speed up the process.
I have saved a ton of time with editing using my presets which are available to download here, LIGHTROOM PRESETS just adding a little punch to the Raw image.
IT ALL COMES DOWN TO HOW YOU LIKE TO WORK.
In the end how we achieve the shot comes down to how we like to work and how we like to use the tools available, no right or wrong just what ever suits you, my preferred way is continuous LED lighting what's yours?
